BTS were invited again to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) event on September 23 at 9 AM EST or 10 PM KST. This year 2020, they were invited as special speakers for the 75th United Nations General Assembly. This marks BTS's second invitation as special speakers at the UNGA after back in 2018 they were also invited to the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.
The theme of their speech for the latest event was 'Let’s live on in a new world'. In their speech, which is partnered with UNICEF's #ENDviolance campaign, BTS address the current challenges of tomorrow's generation during the global COVID19 pandemic.
The BTS members began by sharing about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected them over the past few months. In particular, Kim Seokjin (Jin) shared his inspiring and comforting thoughts, “I found again the people I love. The other members, my family, my friends. I found the music I love, and I found myself. Thinking about the future and trying hard are all important, but cherishing yourself, encouraging yourself, and keeping yourself happy are the most important.
Jin also talked about the importance of cherishing 'me', 'you', and 'us', which is the message of their “Love Myself” campaign and their latest single 'Dynamite'. He said, "In a world of uncertainty, we must cherish the importance of ‘me,’ ‘you,’ and ‘us'. That's the message of "LOVE MYSELF" we talked about for 3 years. It's the message in the lyrics of our song Dynamite — I'm diamond, you know I glow up."
Jin's speech have always inspired many people, they're also meaningful and encouraging.
Teen Vogue quoted part of his speech in the tweet and highlighted his speech by:
"Eldest member Jin, meanwhile, tied everything together with the group’s previous Love Yourself album series while simultaneously motivating online viewers to value their own mental health and happiness."

Jin's words are always consistent and sincere. He also shows it for real, one of them through his solo song 'Epiphany'.
That is what makes his sincerity can touch the hearts of many people.
